Arthur Delaney
Arthur Delaney was born in Manchester, just off
Oxford Road, near to the La Scala picture house. His father was Frank
Randle, the well known northern comedian.
His painting was influenced by the work of L. S. Lowry and certain
similarities can be seen, however in the main, his work is in oils
and represents Manchester in the 1930's, often featuring trams in
his subject.
